Well...This is what I have been working on busily for the past few weeks...
It is my cosplay for the upcoming Anime Weekend Atlanta
I am going as the character Balsa from the anime Serei no Moribito (or "guardian of the sacred spirit" in English...)
It is a fairly new show...and if you haven't seen it or heard of it I would Enthusiastically urge you to look it up!! since it is AWESOME!! I would call it an Instant Classic... and I am sort of picky the Characters, Art, Music, Story, are all Stellar!!
^^ I heard word that it would be airing on Cartoon network's Adult swim at some point...
anyhow... I have been having a wonderful time working on it...My Second Female cosplay in a row (I'm proud... ) And the all cloth costume is sort of a break for me ...since I usually end up having to make some sort of armor! o_o... (fun but very labor intensive...) The spear has been a tasty challenge >w< I bought a wood rasp at a garage sale and it turned out to be the Perfect tool for shaping the spear head...
this is going to be a very comfortable costume...easy to move around in...and not burning hot... and Most of all I DON'T HAVE TO WEAR A WIG!! XD It's fun cosplaying as someone I actually *look* like for once...well...D sort of ...but there's the boob problem...
At some point...I will put the costume on and get some pictures like that... yep
I want to see it but the only versions I can see of it are subbed in Spanish. I then looked for it on netflix only to find it hasn't entered the states yet. Though Media Blasters did buy the rights to sell it here in the states.
I think I'll see if the Jacksonville Library has a copy available.

Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
